おおしこうちのみつね (late 9th–early 10th c).

He held a number of provincial governorships and was never granted a high court rank. But he gained great recognition as a poet. He participated in many early poetry contests, was one of the five compilers of the KKS, and continued to write poems for contests and screen paintings. He is represented by a large number of poems in the Imperial collections -- 58 in the KKS, 22 in the GSS, 34 in the SIS, and 77 in later collections.

躬恒集

The base text for the 新編国歌大観's text (III.12) contains 482 poems, but there are a number of other texts that contain different arrangements or numbers of poems. Presumably these were compiled by people other than Mitsune himself.
