ふみつかはしける女のはゝの、「こひをしこひば」といへりけるが、年ごろへにければつかはしける

The mother of a girl he had been sending letters to said "If you love..." but then more than a year passed, so he sent this.

たねはあれど　逢事かたき　いはのうへの　松にて年を　ふるはかひなし

There is a seed, but meeting is as difficult as the rock, and like the pine I wait for no effect.

こひをしこひば

From KKS 512: たねしあらば岩にも松はおひにけり恋をしこひばあはざらめやは. "If you love her I can let you two meet."

年ごろへにければ

The year (and more) passed without the mother permitting the meeting, apparently.

たね

The "seed" of love in the poet's heart.

かたき

A pivot on "difficult to meet" and "the hard stone."

松

The usual pun on 待つ.
