おとこのもとにつかはしける

土左

わが袖は なにたつすゑの 松山か そらより浪の こえぬ日はなし

Translation

Sent to a man

Tosa

Are my sleeves the famous Sue no Matsuyama? There is no day where waves from the sky don't cross me.

名に立つ
This also refers to the rumor of his broken pledge, but also leads to Sue no Matsuyama (新抄). The 末 also means あげく (全釈).
そら
This also refers to the man's words being 空言 (新注).

Analysis

This represents the soaking tears on the sleeve (八). This is because the man's heart has changed, and she cries all the time (新抄).

KKS 1093: 君をおきてあだし心をわがもたばすゑの松山浪もこえなん. Although in this poem the waves are crossing (新抄).
