This is an extensive list of roughly 1800 poems drawn from the first eight Imperial anthologies, presumably intended to be a selection of the best poems from each source. The work is divided into 20 volumes that generally follow the division of the Imperial collections, and the arrangement of the poems within the volumes seems to also generally follow the progress of the seasons and other standard organizational principles.
