からうしてあひ逢しりて侍はべりけるひと人につゝむことありて、あひ逢がたく侍はべりければ

源宗于朝臣

あづま東地ぢの　さや小夜の中山　中／＼に　あひ見てのちぞ　わびしかりける

Translation

There was a person he met after great effort, and there was something to be cautious about, and it became hard to meet

On Naka Mountain in Saya we meet so casually -- rather, it is after we meet that I suffer the most.
