Introduction

Each poem has five parts:

1. Text - The base text is the　冷泉家時雨亭文庫蔵為家自筆奥書本 text, part of the 貞応二年七月二十二日書写本 family. The furigana are used to show the original state of the manuscript.
2. Translation
3. Notes - These are vocabulary and grammar notes, and other such 釈-style annotation.
4. Analysis - This includes past commentary and current analyses, particularly 評-style annotation.
5. Other sources - This is a list of all other sources in the 新編国歌大観 for this poem. The colors indicate the relative age of the work; a full listing can be found on the Works cited page.
